Beginning in the Summer of 2012, we debuted new immersion trips to the Jesuit apostolates that our community donates money to through the annual Mission Drive. Students will have the chance to travel to the Working Boys Center in Quito, Ecuador; the Jesuit Volunteer sites in Bethel, Alaska; and Homeboy Industries and other social service agencies in Los Angeles, California.
Through these trips, Prep students will be given the opportunity to explore issues of poverty in a developing country, rural poverty and subsistence lifestyle, gang violence, immigration, and homeless. They will do all of this through direct service to the poor and marginalized, with reflection rooted in Ignatian spirituality. Most importantly, they will have the change to immerse themselves in new cultures and explore a lifestyle different from their own.
More information and applications for these trips can be found by clicking the links below. Please be mindful of the application deadlines. Applications received after that time will not be considered.
