Saint Peter’s Prep is located at the corner of Grand & Warren Streets in the historic Paulus Hook section of downtown Jersey City. Our campus is situated among fine 19th century townhouses and tree-lined streets, in one of the many vibrant commercial and residential districts along Jersey City’s stunning waterfront.

This location, Prep’s home for all of its nearly 140 years, puts the school in the center of a diverse, thriving community that blends old-world charm with an ever-growing complement of striking modern high-rises. It also makes our campus convenient to a range of transportation options that includes the New Jersey Turnpike, New Jersey Transit trains and buses, NJT's Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, and the PATH system. Thus, the school enjoys statewide and regional accessibility unrivaled by other secondary schools in New Jersey – a fact that is reflected by the geographic diversity of the student body. Our current student body represents 110 communities in New Jersey and three boroughs of New York City.

VIA PATH:

PATH provides connections to nearly all of New Jersey Transit’s commuter rail lines (at either Newark Penn Station or Hoboken Terminal), as well as many bus lines at the Journal Square Transportation Center. Since Prep is convenient to two PATH stations, one might say our campus is just steps from virtually anywhere. FROM GROVE STREET: Walk east on Christopher Columbus Drive (toward the waterfront) for one block, and make a right onto Marin Boulevard, and then a left onto Montgomery Street. At the end of that block, make a right onto Warren Street and walk two blocks. The main entrance to the school is located at the corner of Grand & Warren, on your right. FROM EXCHANGE PLACE: Walk west on Montgomery Street (away from the waterfront) for three blocks to Warren Street. Turn left onto Warren Street and walk two blocks to Grand Street. The main entrance to the school is located at the corner of Grand & Warren, on your right.

VIA LIGHT RAIL:

The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail currently serves 23 stations from West Side Avenue, Jersey City and East 22nd Street, Bayonne to Tonnelle Avenue, North Bergen, with connections to New Jersey Transit commuter trains at Hoboken Terminal and the S89 bus to Staten Island at Bayonne's 34th Street station. The Exchange Place, Essex Street, and Marin Blvd. stations are all within walking distance of Saint Peter's Prep. FROM EXCHANGE PLACE: Walk two blocks south along Hudson Street to Grand Street. Turn right onto Grand Street and walk three blocks heading west to Warren Street. The main entrance to the school is located at the corner of Grand & Warren Streets.

FROM ESSEX STREET: Walk north on Hudson Street to Grand Street. Turn left onto Grand Street and walk three blocks heading east to Warren Street. The main entrance to the school is located at the corner of Grand & Warren Streets.

FROM MARIN BOULEVARD: Walk north on Luis Munoz Marin Boulevard (away from the waterfront) towards Grand Street. Turn right onto Grand Street and walk two blocks to Warren Street. The main entrance to the school is located at the corner of Grand & Warren Streets.

VIA AUTOMOBILE:

FROM OUTSIDE HUDSON COUNTY: Take the New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 14C. About one-half mile after the toll booth, exit at "Jersey City/Columbus Drive." This ramp is now two lanes wide, and traffic may no longer turn right or left onto Montgomery Street from the ramp. Therefore, stay in the right lane on the ramp, going over Montgomery Street and proceeding toward Christopher Columbus Drive. Make a right onto Columbus Drive and follow it for about 3/4 mile to Luis Munoz Marin Boulevard. Turn right onto Marin and then left at the next light onto Montgomery Street. Drive east for one block, and turn right onto Warren Street. Drive two blocks to Grand Street. The main entrance to the school is located at the corner of Grand & Warren, on your right.

FROM KENNEDY BOULEVARD: Take Kennedy Boulevard to Montgomery Street (Saint Peter's College is at the corner). Take Montgomery Street heading east about two miles to Warren Street. Make a right onto Warren Street. Drive two blocks to Grand Street. The main entrance to the school is located at the corner of Grand & Warren, on your right.

FROM NEW YORK CITY

Saint Peter's Prep is easily accessible from all five boroughs of New York City.

MANHATTAN, THE BRONX, BROOKLYN, & QUEENS:

PATH stations are located throughout Manhattan – at the World Trade Center, along Sixth Avenue at 33rd, 23rd, 14th and 9th Streets, and at the corner of Christopher and Hudson Streets. The Grove Street and Exchange Place stations in Jersey City are just a short ride from these locations, and thus from several New York City subways.

If you prefer to drive, Saint Peter’s Prep is only a few blocks from the Holland Tunnel.  After exiting the tunnel, turn left at the first light onto Luis Munoz Marin Boulevard. Continue south on Marin Boulevard for about one mile (you will pass Newport Mall on your left) to Montgomery Street, then turn left on Montgomery. The second cross street will be Warren Street. Make a right onto Warren Street. Drive two blocks to Grand Street. The main entrance to the school is located at the corner of Grand & Warren, on your right.

Prep is also just minutes from Manhattan by ferry. Ferries to Weehawken, Hoboken and Jersey City connect conveniently to PATH and the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail system. Jersey City’s Paulus Hook and Morris Canal ferry slips are located just a few blocks’ walk from the school.

STATEN ISLAND:

The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail reaches 22nd Street in Bayonne, a short distance from the Bayonne Bridge. In addition, the S89 bus provides limited-stop service from points throughout Staten Island to the 34th Street Light Rail station in Bayonne.
