The second Saint Peter's Prep Hall of Fame Professional Achievement and Service Awards are just over two weeks away! Join us as we honor seven outstanding members of the Prep family for their accomplishments in business and the arts, their service to Saint Peter's Prep and their roles in shaping their communities.
Nearly 400 families from throughout the region visited Prep last Sunday, to explore the campus and discover the school community during the annual Fall Open House. Tours and information sessions provided an introduction to life at Saint Peter's Prep, with student and parent volunteers joining faculty and staff members in welcoming the guests.
Following months of intensive construction work on campus, the Donald P. Moriarty, '48 Science Center was formally dedicated during the 2011 President's Reception on Thursday evening. Created through the complete, top-to-bottom renovation of Burke Hall, the Moriarty Science Center heralds a new era for scientific education at Prep, and marks the completion of Phase One of the Campus Master Plan.
With staff from the American Red Cross on hand in O'Keefe Commons, the Prep community rolled up its sleeves Wednesday to kick-off the first of two planned blood drives this year. By day's end, 53 pints of whole blood had been collected.
The Philippine Madrigal Singers, a world-renowned choral group, named among the UNESCO Artists for Peace in 2009, returned to Grand & Warren on Friday evening, sharing the stage with Prep's own Vox ensemble in O'Keefe Commons. The group had performed on the Warren Street Plaza in 2009, and returned last week to help Vox celebrate the upcoming release of their album, Hearts on Fire.
