Jesuit Commuters: A Message from Fr. Reiser

Although Prep's Jesuits are now acclimating to the commuter lifestyle, as Fr. Reiser explains, the commitment of the Society of Jesus to Saint Peter's Prep is as strong as ever. Eight Jesuits will be a part of the Prep faculty in September, giving Prep some of the largest Jesuit presence of any high school in the nation.

Reminder: Updated Physical and Immunization Records Required Annually

Saint Peter's Prep requires an updated immunization record and an annual physical of all students. The physical must be performed by an M.D., D.O. or nurse practitioner between the dates of June 15 and August 31, 2011. The completed forms must be submitted to the school nurse, Ms. Maureen Sheppard, R.N., by September 8, 2011. All fall athletes must submit their physicals to the school athletic trainer Ms. Kyrsten Hayworth by August 1, 2011.

Construction Update: Taking the Long View

As Prep's new science center continues to take shape, the view inside what were once Burke Hall's second and third floor classrooms is indeed a long one. The walls that once divided the rooms have been removed, but until new walls rise to create the new rooms, the scale of the open space might seem more conducive to bowling than to biology.

An End-of-Year Message from Fr. Reiser

With another year at Grand & Warren complete – and the next already on the horizon – Prep's president invites us to join him in reflecting on the gifts and challenges of school year 2010-11, and give thanks for the growth we have experienced.

Saint Peter's Prep is a Catholic, Jesuit college preparatory school which seeks to form young men of competence, conscience and compassion. Both enriched and challenged by its diversity, Prep is a community of learners seeking to find God in all things. The academic, athletic, co-curricular, spiritual and service programs aim to foster in students an understanding of the world and the courage to advance the common good.
