For the first time, this year's Arrupe Lecture Series will include a presentation for parents. On Wednesday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m., Lisa Ramirez will perform monologues from her one-woman show Exit Cuckoo, based on her experiences as a New York nanny, followed by an open discussion on the rights of domestic workers.
In order to avoid a conflict with next week's Kairos 21retreat, senior hometown news photos, originally scheduled for March 14 and 15, have been postponed. Further information will be available when a new date has been scheduled.
The Metro Arts Summer Institute at Prep has opened its application process for the Summer 2012 session. The program is entering its third year, providing a dynamic, competitive program for talented teens in the visual arts.
For the first time, this school year has offered the Prep community two chances to help save lives at local hospitals by giving blood. The new fall blood drive in October collected 53 units of whole blood, and this week the traditional spring blood drive returned to build on that success – collecting 108 more!
About 60 parents of Prep alumni returned to Prep last Thursday evening, for a wine tasting reception in the Moriarty Science Center lobby. For some, it was a first opportunity to discover the latest addition to Prep's campus. For all, it was a chance to catch up with old friends, share favorite wines and keep in touch with the Prep community.
