Last week, we told you about the Lenten spirituality resources on the New York Province website. This week's reflection features a Prep alumnus! Fr. Jim Croghan, S.J., ’73, director of Ignatian Identity at Regis High School, discusses the themes in the readings for Palm Sunday and Holy Week.
On Wednesday, Jim Keady, founder of Team Sweat and Educating for Justice, Inc., delivered the keynote address for Arrupe Week, which this year was focused on the rights of workers. Introducing the topic, principal Jim DeAngelo, ’85, referenced the U.S. Bishops' letter from last year, which asks Catholics to consider the “invisible burdens of ordinary workers.”
The Prep Parents' Association will host a "Cyber-Solutions" workshop, featuring Sgt. Thomas Rich of Always Connected, on Wednesday, April 11, at 6:30 p.m. A police officer for 15 years, Sgt. Rich will discuss a broad range of the communication tools at the disposal of today's teens, how they can be harmful, and what parents and kids can do to make sure they're used safely.
