A weekend like this comes around only once every half-century! Last weekend, Prep welcomed home the Class of 1964 for two days of memories and Prep pride. Special thanks to the 50th Reunion Committee and its chair, Joe Napoli, '64, for helping to make the weekend a success!
Last Friday, three guest speakers visited Prep, and their topics and biographies couldn't have been much more diverse – a perfect example of the possibilities presented by the extended periods of the X- and Y-day schedules that take place every other cycle. The guests were Congressman Albio Sires, pediatrician and Doctors Without Borders volunteer Dr. Peter Cardiello, '77, and noted comic book and graphic novel editor Joseph Illidge.
The Prep community rolled up their sleeves on Tuesday, coming together to help save lives during the annual Fall Blood Drive. Sponsored by Prep's Medical Club in conjunction with the American Red Cross, the drive was a huge success.
On Tuesday evening, 69 seniors were inducted to Prep's McNally-Sinnott Chapter of the National Honor Society during a ceremony in O'Keefe Commons.
One day before students took this year's PSAT, an assembly on Tuesday provided an opportunity to recognize achievements on last year's PSAT, through the National Merit Scholarship, National Achievement Scholarship and National Hispanic Recognition programs.
