On Monday, Mr. Stephen Izzo joined Prep's staff as Chief Advancement Officer. In that position, he will oversee the school's various Annual Fund, Alumni Relations, Communications, and Special Events programs and initiatives. He will also work closely with Fr. Ken Boller, S.J. (President) and Mr. Jim Horan, '70 (VP for Planning and Principal Giving) on Prep's major gift program, which supports capital projects and the growth of resources for scholarships and financial aid.
On Friday, November 10, Saint Peter’s Prep will host more than 200 boys for the HSPT Entrance Exam. The HSPT is the high school entrance test used by Catholic high schools in the Newark and Paterson dioceses.
As part of Prep's Diversity Week, four student speakers led a discussion with underclassmen during a Wednesday "Prep Man in the Morning" assembly last week. Gerald Graves, '18, Malchijah Hoskins, '18, Matisse Nelson, '19, and Daniel Rowe, ‘18, all members of the Prep Diversity Board, shared reflections and answered questions from the audience.
The sixth annual Penn State University Men of Song Festival took place last Saturday, at the Eisenhower Auditorium on the University Park campus, under the direction of Dr. Chris Kiver. The festival provided a unique opportunity for young men with changing and changed voices to rehearse and perform with a collegiate men’s choir.
Thanksgiving is almost here, and that means it's time for our annual Thanksgiving food drive! And like last year, this year we'll be engaging in friendly competition with other area Jesuit high schools in The Great Ignatian Challenge!
